Objectives
The objectives of ARPA Queensland are
- To work
with all stakeholders to ensure regular, effective, two way communication
- To
provide comment or representation in relation to proposed legislative or
organisational decisions or policies that may impact on vocational
rehabilitation and/or injury management services
- To
provide support to members as required to deal with issues that are relevant
and where the support of a wider body of knowledge, experience and lobbying
power may assist in achieving the best possible outcome for our member in that
jurisdiction.
- To
develop and promote appropriate codes of conduct and professional standards
that can be implemented and maintained throughout Queensland
- To
develop effective relationships with all stakeholders to promote information
exchange
- To
develop pricing models that support the industry while influencing behaviour
to achieve cost effective impacts
- To
investigate and research ‘best practice’ to ensure that services provided are
“world best’ evidenced by outcomes obtained and total cost
- To
foster continuing professional development of members to ensure that required
standards of service delivery are maintained
- To
identify training needs and develop training strategies to facilitate
continuous improvement of the industry
- To work
closely with training institutions to ensure the relevance and appropriateness
of training course delivery and development to the needs of the industry

central role of rehabilitation in the success of return to work across all
schemes
- To support
activities carried out by ARPA at a national level
